Crochet Rearview Mirror Flower Pattern
What you’ll need:
- 3.50 mm hook
- cotton yarn (4 ply)
- 2” mirror (I bought a 60 pack of these on Amazon for $11.99)
- hot glue or super glue (I use the loctite brand)
1. 5 single crochet in a magic circle OR chain 5, slip stitch to the first chain to form a loop, chain 1, 5 single crochet in the loop
2. 2 single crochet in each stitch (10 sc)
3. Repeat the following 5x—1 single crochet, single crochet increase in the next (2 single crochet in the same stitch) (15 sc)
4. Repeat the following 5x—1 single crochet in the next 2, single crochet increase in the next (2 single crochet in the same stitch) (20 sc)
5. Single crochet in each stitch (20 sc)
6. Chain 4 and turn your work. Skip the stitch with the chain 4 and skip the next 2, slip stitch in the next. Repeat the following 6x— Chain 4, skip 2 stitches, slip stitch in the next. After your last chain 4, slip stitch into the first chain 4 space. You should have 7 chain spaces.
7. Chain 1, complete the following in the first chain space—half double, 2 double crochets, chain 2, 2 double crochets, half double (petal made). Slip stitch in the next chain space and complete the following--half double, 2 double crochets, chain 2, 2 double crochets, half double (petal made). Slip stitch in the next chain space. Repeat making petals in each chain space and slip stitching in the next until you’ve reached the end. Slip stitch between the first half double and beginning chain 1.
Chain 1, pull up your yarn and make a large loop (large enough to fit over your rearview mirror. Cut your yarn
Thread your needle.
Turn your work and secure a knot on the back side of one of the petals.
Just a small “dollop” size of hot glue would work.
